Women's suit - how to look and feel great?
A women's suit has been associated with the image of a successful woman for quite a long time. In the last few seasons, women's suits, especially ones with an oversized men's cut, have dominated the catwalks of all the largest fashion houses. Once reserved for men, today essential in every women’s closet. Suit greatest benefit is it versality. Excellent choice for work and a business meeting as well as for a date, birthday party, wedding or casual occasion. In this post you will learn how to choose the perfect suit style for you in order to look, and most importantly, feel great.
The first step you need to take is to answer the question what occasion you are looking for a suit for. For work the ideal choice will be one in subdued shade: black, beige, gray and navy blue. For a party choose a light pastel or intense colour option: red (hot trend in this season), rich blue, purple, green and any other color that you like. If you want timeless solutions, go for black. However, if you like to stand out, we recommend the most fashionable patterns in fashion – houndstooth, tartan or polka dots.

Which style should you choose?
The next step will be to choose right suit style. Recently, oversized blazers with scaled shoulder lines and loose palazzo pants have become extremely popular. This cut will be perfect for tall and slim people, but it will not necessarily suit other body types. If you still wonder what body type you are read our post about it.
Other, also trendy, forms of suit are fitted jackets with French cuts that optically slim the figure together with straight pants with creases / bell-bottoms / classic pants with slightly tapered legs/ cigarette pants. Our suits in similar style can be found here.
If you want to lengthen your silhouette, choose jackets with a triangular neckline. If you want to optically widen the upper part of your body, choose double-breasted jackets.
Showing off your legs? Go for straight-cut, fitted pants. To shift attention away from your lower parts choose patterned or intensely colored, lighter jacket and darker bottom.
Suit for plus size women?
Yes, yes and yes again. The range of possibilities is quite big. If you have a proportional figure, choose a tailored, waist-emphasizing cut of the jacket. If you have a silhouette where the top is bigger than the bottom, choose more fitted pants. Otherwise, looser pants and fitted jacket. Very often, women of larger sizes struggle with the problem of, in their opinion, too large breasts. To mask it, avoid all kinds of decorations, sequins, ruffles, bows in the upper side and choose smooth, solid colour fabrics. V-necklines will also optically lengthen and slim the figure.
What accessories will complement the outfit?
"The devil is in the details". No outfit can be considered complete if you forget about the accessories. Regardless of whether you wear a suit to work, a wedding or another important event, high heels will always be the right solution. Classic pumps will add elegance and femininity to the styling. For casual outfits, for a walk, meeting with friends or Sunday brunch, replace high heels with sneakers. The combination of sports shoes with an elegant suit creates a very impressive, nonchalant look and has been dominating the streets of New York and London for several years.
The color of the shoes depends on your preferences. There are no good or bad solutions here. The shoes can be in the color of the suit, creating a monochromatic look. A good choice are nude high heeled pumps, which are the most versatile footwear that matches every suit in every color. If you like brave combinations, choose color blocking-combining two intense colors, e.g. a pink suit with green shoes and a handbag or a blue suit with orange shoes and a handbag.
Don't forget about jewelry and choosing a handbag appropriate for the occasion. A safe solution is a handbag in the color of the shoes or one of its shades. Choose a leather shopper bag for work, a messenger bag for a walk, shoulder bag for a meeting with your friends and a clutch for the evening.
