Trends for fall and winter 2023/24
Fall is already here. Many of you may wonder what are we wearing this season. In this post, we will dispel any doubts and provide all you need to know about trends for fall and winter.
JACKETS AND SUITS
Yes, they are still with us. The catwalks of the largest fashion houses are once again dominated by oversized jackets with an even more scaled shoulder line. On the other hand there is more and more tailored, fitted cuts. If you want to learn more about how to wear a women's suit to look and feel great read our guide. Our suits you can find here.
TARTAN AND POLKA DOTS
Tartan and polka dots are definitely the most fashionable patterns this season. Tartan appears quite often in fall/winter styles, so its presence in this season's hot trends is not a big surprise, but polka dots is something unexpected and designers devoted a lot of attention to it.
PEPLUM
The peplum has a centuries-old history, but it only gained popularity in the 1930s thanks to the iconic design of Christian Dior's jacket, which was fitted at the waist but reached beyond the hips, creating the effect of a skirt. Since then, the peplum has been given many interpretations, and this year it is back in a completely new version. Costumes with peplum can be found here.
BLACK & WHITE AND PASTELS
This fall, fashion houses offer us colors usually associated with summer like pastels. We could see pastel total looks on the catwalks of Loewe, Givenchy and Paco Rabanne and black and white outfits presented by Chanel, Emporio Armani and Chloe. Black and white patterns were noticable at Miu Miu and Valentino runway.
RED, RED AND...RED
This season’s runways were dominated by one color: rich red, which popped up in practically every show. We could admire intense, sensual, even electrifying red at The Row, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, and Bottega Veneta fashion show. This color has never gone out of fashion and probably never will, just like black and white, but this season it is one of the biggest trends. What's more, the new version of the Horsebit bag from the Gucci house in a juicy red has a good chance of becoming another "it bag" and being called the bag of the season, or maybe even the year.
